Our annual fair gives students a unique opportunity to speak with area post-secondary schools and employers.  Fair goers were able to gather information to plan their next phase of life.  Employers in our area are able to communicate with students about skills necessary for their particular industry. (Industries for which we teach technical skills here at CCTC.)  The Louisiana Workforce Commission was here speaking with students about the biggest problems in the workforce today.  The biggest problems include: cell phones, tardiness, absenteeism, and the inabilty to think critically.  Students at the fair were able hear directly from industry, not teachers or parents, exactly what they need to do.  All attendees had fun while gaining information.  (WIN WIN) Vendors were able to discover the best prospects for open positions and network with other companies.

Here are some pictures of the fair.
