Fashion Styling students have recently wrapped-up a unit on Ancient Cultures. Students were required to complete research on an Ancient Culture such as Aztec, Mayan, Egyptian, Celtic, Greek or Roman. Students discovered various textiles were used in a variety of ways by each culture. Students found similarities and differences in patterns, colors, and textures used in clothing throughout ancient cultures. Students were required to design a garment which would have been common during the period for which they completed research. Students were required to invent a character who would have lived during their specific period. Students presented their characters, dressed in traditional garments to their classmates. Pictured below are 1st Period Fashion Styling students Andrea Stanford-Capt. Shreve; Alexis Harrison- Southwood; Gabrielle Cockerham- Byrd.
