Is there 5000 feet of wire in your car?

by Caddo Career & Technology Center | Sep 17, 2019

YES

Today’s cars can contain over 5000 feet of wiring in them.  It is very important that automotive technicians understand electrical theory, systems, diagrams, and trouble shooting to keep your car on the road.  Students at CCTC learn how to read electrical diagrams, construct circuits, use a volt/ohm meter in the first part of the school year for the reason that many car problems relate to electrical systems.
