DECA-at-the-Revel

Caddo Career & Technology Center DECA kicked off DECA Week with a community service
project by volunteering at the Red River Revel and assisting at the Pet Education Project Tent. DECA members helped elementary students to color and draw for prizes.

Mission:
To provide education and leadership development for students to carry into their business and personal lives after graduation.

Membership:

DECA chapters attract students who are interested in preparing for entrepreneurial, marketing, or management careers.

The Caddo Career & Technology Center DECA Club visited LSUS where they listened to a lecture by Mr. Hogue, LSUS Professor, on leadership. The students also learned about business etiquette, admission requirements, and college survival skills. They also toured the campus.

Benefits:
Students enrolled in marketing earn high school credit and a paycheck at the same time for their employment after school and on weekends. DECA is co-curricular meaning that many activities take place during class.
